Four generations of steel, soil and ploughs
The story behind Moller International begins in 1947 at a village forge south of Sorø, where Carl Hannibal Møller and his son Poul turned the repair of worn ploughshares into an industry. Today the third and fourth generation, carries the family’s knowledge of steel and tillage into the global OEM industry.
A FAMILY OF BLACKSMITHS
From the village blacksmith in Vester Broby
Long before the Second World War, the blacksmith in Vester Broby near Sorø was repairing worn ploughshares for the farmers of the district – and had already put the renovation work into system. In 1947 Carl Møller took over the local forge and, together with his son Poul, founded Mølbro Plovskærsfabrik I/S. The local forge became a factory for ploughshares and wear parts.
Knowledge of steel and how to work it became the family’s greatest asset. Over four generations, the earnings were reinvested in product development and modern production technology, and Mølbro grew into an international supplier of wear parts for ploughs, harrows and seed drills, fitted at the factory by leading European OEMs.
Per grew up in the business, took over its management in 1983 and led it for three decades. In 2018 he passed Mølbro on to new owners and together with his son Nicholas founded Moller International – so the family’s decades of tillage and components experience could serve the OEM industry as an independent partner.

Today
The passion for ploughs continues
Moller International co-develops the components of the “Korsgaard plough”, which has won the Danish ploughing championship 13 times and several international silver and bronze medals. Today the company is headquartered in Odense with an innovation workshop and stock location in Ryslinge – still built on the family’s knowledge of steel, soil and ploughs.
